Business Snapshot

Brutti is a Proud Sabahan Bespoke Sustainable Furniture Maker. 

They are known for using selected pallet woods as their choice of material and reducing uncontrolled disposal. 

To date, they have rescued 57 Tonnes of pallet wood from being thrown to the landfill which is equivalent to 600 trees from being cut down. 

The initiative to reduce waste in the industry is by utilising cut-off wood and reuse the majority of it as a modest ornament. They also allowed their first customer to place the order to be given the honour of naming the pieces.

We participated in their workshop and won the Shell LiveWIRE Sabah, earning a spot at the national level. Through this experience, we gained deeper insights into our company and enhanced our business.

Chief Executive Officer

Ahmad Azuar Zainuddin is an educator and entrepreneur focused on driving economic and social impact through entrepreneurship and innovation. With deep experience in capacity building and ecosystem development, he designs and delivers initiatives that empower aspiring and early-stage Malaysian entrepreneurs. Azuar is also a frequent media contributor and a sought-after speaker across the region.

He was recognised as runner-up in the Best Implementation Partner category at the 2022 Shell LiveWIRE Top Ten Innovators Awards in Mexico City. He holds a Master’s in Communications and Media Studies from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts in Design from Curtin University. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and the arts.
