LJD Corporation is an accredited social enterprise transforming plastic waste into eco-friendly tourism products based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Currently working with waste collectors at the Kayu Madang landfill, and Kampung Kepayan Baru villagers, LJD fosters community empowerment through upskilling and income generation.

The company operates are cycling and up cycling centre at Kampung Kepayan Baru, where plastic waste is turned into beads and crafts for accessories and handbags. LJD also conducts recycling workshops, corporate sustainability programmes, and talks.

By addressing environmental challenges and creating social impact, LJD provides sustainable solutions for plastic waste management while promoting local tourism and community development.

Working With Satu Creative

At LJD Corporation, we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support and guidance provided by Satu Creative. Through its workshops and mentorship, Satu Creative played a pivotal role in helping us win the Shell LiveWIRE programme.

With the RM10,000 prize, we purchased a sandwich maker machine and employed 30 young artisans, laying the foundation for our growth. Today, years later, we proudly operate our own recycling and upcycling centre equipped with advanced machines, impacting multiple beneficiaries across different locations.

This journey highlights the transformative power of collaboration and dedication to creating sustainable and inclusive change.

Azuar Zainuddin

Chief Executive Officer

Ahmad Azuar Zainuddin is an educator and entrepreneur focused on driving economic and social impact through entrepreneurship and innovation. With deep experience in capacity building and ecosystem development, he designs and delivers initiatives that empower aspiring and early-stage Malaysian entrepreneurs. Azuar is also a frequent media contributor and a sought-after speaker across the region.

He was recognised as runner-up in the Best Implementation Partner category at the 2022 Shell LiveWIRE Top Ten Innovators Awards in Mexico City. He holds a Master’s in Communications and Media Studies from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts in Design from Curtin University. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and the arts.
